The paper will provide the opportunity for students to apply their disciplinary knowledge in an authentic way, completing and reflecting on a research project. This project can take the the form of a simulated sponsors' brief- with a organisational or community focus, or it can focus on developing a toolbox of work-related skills.

Workload

This paper is worth 15 points as such it is expected you will dedicate 150 learning hours to this paper. 22 of these hours includes workshop and assessment activities the rest of the time you will need to engage in research and assignment preparation. A full semester workload is 60 points. Therefore, students taking this course must expect to undertake a workload equivalent of around 25% of a full time load for one semester; that is about 10 hours a week for the whole semester (i.e. through to the end of study week). Assessment will be based on the assumption that students have devoted a minimum of 150 hours to the paper.
